How can a conservative square funding for the wall?

How can a conservative square funding for the wall?

This is part 16 in a series of 35 questions. It is based on a series of questions answered by John Hawkins for Townhall.com: here, and here.

16. How can a conservative square the funding request for the wall with past demands that spending be offset elsewhere?

There are things that the Federal Government is supposed to provide. One of those requirements are security. I don’t have a problem with the wall. That’s part of their Constitutionally approved jobs.

But, let’s offset spending anyway, by cutting programs not specifically named by the Constitution, for example, close the Department of Education, cut off all federal funding to colleges, and end government backed student loans and grants.

The Deportation of Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos

The Deportation of Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos

A married, mother of two, illegal immigrant was deported and it’s her fault, no one else’s.

“The undocumented immigrant was detained Wednesday and deported within 24 hours to her native Mexico…1

Since “undocumented immigrant” doesn’t clearly describe her status, let me: Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos committed the crime of entering the U.S. illegally in the mid-1990s at the age of 14. A more accurate term for undocumented immigrant is illegal immigrant.

Later, in 2008, she was convicted of using a fake Social Security Number (felony criminal impersonation). While it’s true that she probably wasn’t “a threat to nobody,1” it doesn’t matter. She broke the law. Twice.

Now she’ll be the face of Trump’s policy. She’ll be the face of families being torn apart, and the beginning of the attempt to blame this on Trump. The fact of the matter is, this is her fault, and her fault alone. She knew she was here illegally when she got married, and she knew she was here illegally when she had children here. She knew they were legal citizens, and she was not. She knew there was the possibility of being deported even in those circumstances, and her children would have the option of staying. That’s not love; that’s selfishness.

Unfortunately, she had help. Enablers, if you will. Sanctuary cities, and liberals who don’t give a damn about who comes across the border ILLEGALLY. States that give illegal immigrants driver’s licenses and allow them to vote in certain elections. People that gave her hope that her crime would be ignored.

I wonder though, in this particular instance, why was she the first one deported? I almost feel like this was done intentionally to show the new policy in the worst possible light. Was this another botched rollout of an Executive Order, or was Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos a pawn to get the left to, once again, come unhinged.

While it may be true that illegal immigration has not resulted in high profile terror attacks, crime is still an issue. Worse, are those caught and then released only to commit more crimes and even murder.

But crime isn’t the only problem. The financial cost to taxpayer’s is tremendous:

If we stop sending money to sanctuary cities, we’ll have more than enough to pay for the wall.

Finally, you may not like the definition of criminal, but it’s really rather simple:

a person who has committed a crime

Being here illegally is a crime. That makes all illegal immigrants criminals. And they know that. They also know illegal immigrants can be deported. This isn’t a surprise; it’s the law.

How can a Christian deny Arab child refugees?

How can a Christian deny Arab child refugees?

This is part 3 in a series of 35 questions.

3. If you’re a Christian how do you reconcile Good Samaritan/Sermon of the Mount with Trump denying Arab children safe passage?

Let me start by saying there’s going to be a little speculation here, but I’m not going to base my position on one or two passages of Scripture tossed out like a mic drop. While there are several passages that speak of treating foreigners well, there are also passages that infer wariness and caution.

First, God did not treat all foreigners the same. The most obvious, and the most controversial example, is God’s order to essentially exterminate the Canaanites. The wickedness of the Canaanites reached such a level that He used the nation of Israel to execute justice on every man, woman, and child. It should also be noted that this was not a rash decision. He actually waited 400 years before He decided it was time.

Second, God created the NATION of Israel. He set for them, specific laws that made them different from the surrounding nations, and He expected the Law to be followed. Sojourners did not have the same rights as the Israelites, despite the command to treat them with respect. If they did become part of the nation, they were expected to assimilate in ALL ways, i.e., follow the Law. Likewise, I see nothing wrong with expecting people who come here to be American citizens (legally), to assimilate to American culture.

Reading history indicates that immigrants coming to America have always tried to assimilate and become Americans. This phenomenon of the last twenty years or so, where immigrants come to America expect us to assimilate to them is foolish. Israel did that and was punished by God. We’re going to do that, and get punished by Islam.

Children are not the only age group looking for asylum. Unfortunately, the actions of adult refugees are hurting the safe passage of children. Simply Google ‘europe no go zones youtube’ and you’ll find plenty of reasons why so many people are not interested in helping people from the Arab countries: violence against women, violence in general, no-go zones, and not just a refusal to integrate but an insistence that we adopt their culture.

Other questions that need to be asked are, are the children traveling alone? Are they orphans? Where will they go? There needs to be a vetting process, and it appears that what vetting process there is, is substandard. Donald Trump’s TEMPORARY travel ban is supposed to address the vetting process.

Perhaps the most tragic thing of all, is that there is a good chance those children that do come here, will not adopt our culture either, but that of their parents, and they will grow into part of the problem.

By The Numbers – The Untold Story of Muslim Opinions & Demographics

Introduction

I was simply going to share the video, but will you watch it? I’m betting you don’t, so I’m going to share some of the key points. Watch if for the full effect. Really!

We keep hearing that 99.9% of all Muslims are peace loving, but is that true? Not according to these numbers. Depending on where you live in the world, only 25% to 75% hold peaceful, non-radical ideas.

"this fear of being called a racist, has caused many people to act against their better judgment" ~Raheel Raza

According to the video, there are approximately 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. Think about the percentages in the video compared to that 1.6 billion.

Summary

There are three Spheres of Radicalization:

  1. Center sphere: Violent Jihadists who want to kill apostates, and/or die trying. They believe in paradise and martyrdom. This group is represented by ISIS, which boasts 40,000 – 200,000 Muslims fighting around the world. These numbers do not include violent terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, IRCG.

  2. Inner ring: Islamists are "just as convinced of martyrdom and paradise, and want to foist their religion on the rest of humanity, but they want to work within the system. They don’t want to blow themselves up on a bus. They want to change governments, and use democracy against itself" [emphasis added]. They "want the same things as the Jihadist, but using different tactics." Examples of this are Palestinians electing Hamas into power, and Egyptians electing the Muslim Brotherhood into power. Both are terrorist organizations. Here in the U.S., we have CAIR who works to silence critics of Islam. The U.S. Department of Justice says that CAIR is or was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood; the United Arab Emerites lists CAIR as terrorist organization

  3. Outer ring: Fundamentalist are those who don’t aren’t trying to blow people up, or trying to change governments, but hold radical ideas.

  • 79-86% of Sharia-supporting Muslims in Afghanistan, Egypt, and Jordan believe apostates should be executed. An average of 27% of all Muslims around the world believe believe apostates should be executed (that’s 237 million Muslims around the world).
  • 39% of all Muslims around the world believe honor killings can be justified (that’s 345 million Muslims around the world).
  • 42%, 35%, 26% of French, British, American Muslims believe suicide bombings against civilians can be justified.
  • 54% of Muslims surveyed want Sharia to be the law of the land in Muslim majority countries.
    • 52% support whippings, and cutting off of hands for thieves (281 million).
    • 51% are in favor or stoning spouses if they’re unfaithful (289 million)

Conclusion

This doesn’t even come close to the 99.9% narrative that we’re being fed by liberals. How is it that they can be so out of touch with reality? Is it intentional? There are approximately 3 million Muslims in the United States. Based on the numbers in this video, 780,000 Muslims in America believe suicide bombings against civilians can be justified. Is it no wonder then, condemnation from Islamic communities is strangely quiet in the wake of what are clearly terrorist attacks by Radical Islamists?

But, this of course, leads to the next question. Why do so many Muslims hold radical and violent views? Where do these beliefs originate? Dare I say, from Islam itself?

On Immigration

Illegal immigration is just that: illegal. Illegal immigrants need to be deported. There is a legal way for immigrants to come to this country, and those that do not follow it, do not deserve to stay.

There are many Christians that seem to think that we need to help everyone, no matter the cost, and this is not true. We are supposed to also follow the law!

13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, 14 or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. 15 For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men. 16 [Act] as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but [use it] as bondslaves of God. 17 Honor all men; love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king. ~1 Peter 2:13-17

I don’t care what anyone tells me, you have to reconcile both commandments: care for the alien, and obey the laws.

Stronger measures need to be taken to secure our borders from the state and federal level. It is the Federal Government’s job to keep this country safe, and allowing immigrants to arrive unchallenged is a security threat. Liberals scream about background checks for citizens buying guns in this country, but don’t give a damn about the background of those invading our borders. While not all immigrants are criminals, there are an alarming number, and it’s an issue that needs to be taken seriously. States should not have to be burdened with the responsibility that the Federal Government should be dealing with. It’s a security issue and the only state and local involvement should be holding criminals for immigration officials.

Every year, hundreds of immigrants die trying to cross the border into the U.S. They are trying to cross the border because they have hope that once they reach here, they will be allowed to stay. And the Federal Government is partially to blame for their deaths. They have utterly failed to deter migrants by simply not enforcing existing laws. Immigrants need to be swiftly sent back home. The message needs to be that the trek across the border is not worth the risk. This shit pisses me off. There are legal ways to come here.

Illegal immigrants working in the U.S. should not be given amnesty. If found, they should be immediately deported and the company that hired them should be fined, heavily. No company is too big to fail.

Law enforcement officials should be required to detain illegal immigrants for any crime, and hold them until federal immigration officials can take custody and deport them. State and local law enforcement agencies caught releasing illegal immigrants should be fined, at the expense of local taxpayers. Sanctuary cities should be fined, again, at the expense of local taxpayers. Support for breaking federal law should be strongly discouraged.

The only health care illegal immigrants should have access to, is emergency health care. Once they are healthy enough to travel, they should be deported. Children of illegal immigrants should not be granted citizenship. They should remain with their parents and be deported as a family. Illegal immigrants that use the health care system, have no investment in the system, therefore their use of it is theft.

Illegal immigrants should not be given access to schools at any level, public or private. Public schools are taxpayer funded, making their use a form of theft. Regardless of the ability to pay or not, they are here illegally and it is every citizen’s duty to report them to be deported. Citizen’s that fail to report should be arrested as they would for aiding an known criminal.

Allowing illegal aliens the same rights as those who are here legally is a slap in the face to those who did things the right way. It’s a slap in the face to the citizens of this country who obey the law. You may be able to argue that it’s compassion for the alien, but the indifference to the legal is disgusting.

Legal immigration to this country should be encouraged. Legal immigrants should be welcomed, but also expected to assimilate to this country, and that means supporting it’s laws and Constitution. Immigrants should be encouraged to learn English, and those opposing Free Speech should be discouraged from that opposition. They should understand that in this country, Free Speech means free speech, even if you find it offensive.

I, for one, will continue to use the terms illegal immigrant or illegal alien. I do this out of respect for those who come here legally. I do this to differentiate between the criminal and the legal immigrant.
